Our Clinical Services

At our clinic, we are committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals and families. Our clinic offers preventive care, urgent appointments, chronic disease follow-up, medical assessments, and support for patients visiting from outside Ontario and Canada.

Walk-In Clinic

Walk-In Services

Services Include:

  • Same-day assessment for acute issues — Fast access for new or sudden concerns.
  • Respiratory infections, UTIs, ear/eye/throat concerns — Assessment and treatment for common acute illnesses.
  • Minor injuries and musculoskeletal pain — Support for sprains, strains, and non-emergency injuries.
  • Prescription renewals (when clinically appropriate) — Short-term renewals for stable medications.
  • Basic procedures — Simple wound care, injections, and suture or staple removal when appropriate.

Walk-In Exclusions / Disclaimers

Walk-in visits do not cover chronic disease management, annual exams, psychotherapy visits, ADHD follow-up, or forms. Controlled substances are never renewed in walk-in appointments. Availability may vary depending on clinic capacity.

Important Policies

Fees must be paid at the time of service for uninsured services. Uninsured services are not covered by OHIP. Some forms require a dedicated appointment. Physicians may decline to complete a form if clinically inappropriate. Missed appointment fee (less than 24-hour notice): $50.

Same-day urgent care appointments are available for rostered patients.

Third-Party Medical Examinations

Medical Assessments

We offer third-party medical assessments and completion of forms, including:

  • Driver's Medical Examinations for Ministry of Transportation requirements
  • Pension buy back forms and disability-related medical forms
  • VAC (Veterans Affairs Canada) forms
  • Statement of Health Needs forms for military
  • Medical assessments and documentation required by external organizations

Out-of-Province / Out-of-Country Patients

Visiting Patients

We welcome appointments for patients visiting from outside Ontario and outside Canada, including RAMQ (Quebec) patients.

Direct billing is available where applicable for eligible insurance plans including UHIP and Guard.me.

Follow-Up Care for Rostered Patients

Ongoing Care

Ongoing appointments are available for rostered patients to support:

  • Chronic disease management
  • Medication review
  • Preventive care
  • Continuity of primary care

Preventive & Routine Health Services

Preventive Care

Supporting long-term wellness and early detection through:

  • Blood test requisitions and laboratory investigations
  • Routine health examinations and wellness assessments
  • Preventive screening and monitoring
  • STI screening, testing, and counselling

Uninsured Services

Fee-Based Services

Some services are not covered under provincial health insurance and may involve a fee. Services include:

  • TB testing (one-step and two-step)
  • Sick notes
  • School, employment, and general medical notes
  • Insurance forms and related documentation

New Patient Registration

Military Family Patient Registration

Please note that Dr. Ata is not accepting general new patient registrations at this time.

Only spouses and families of military members being deployed or relocating to the National Capital Region will be accepted when referred through Military Family Services.

We offer meet-and-greet appointments to help eligible patients become familiar with clinic services and support continuity of primary care during relocation.
